This week I reviewed my last puzzle “game book” for a while: Casket of Souls by Games Workshop founder Ian Livingstone. It has even better art than its prequel The Tasks of Tantalon and the puzzles seem more doable to me, although some are still really obtuse! It was interesting to see all the ways that the author found to hide the “Royal Treasures” in the artwork. I think a lot of them could be used as DnD puzzles, maybe as murals on a dungeon wall.
